Y-Tots Preschool
  Welcome to the YMCA of Laurel Highlands Y-Tot Preschool! The first five years in your child’s life are the most formative ones in his/her entire development. We hope that your family, and especially your children, can feel at home in all of our preschool centers. We assure you that our nurturing, friendly staff will make your time here an experience to remember.
  We encourage your child to explore, ask questions, be creative, and make choices and decisions. We offer an environment in which your child can feel secure to practice social skills and to learn to solve conflicts constructively.

  As a member of the YMCA of Laurel Highlands Y-Tot team of teachers, each YMCA staff member accepts the responsibility of ensuring the safety of every child; of respecting the values and diversity each family holds; of caring for each child with warmth and compassion; and always demonstrating honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.
  Preschool Programs and Fees
  Y-Tots preschools are located in Mt. Pleasant and Scottdale. Class enrollment is limited and a registration fee of $25 is required for all classes.
  Pre-Kindergarten (3 Day) Classes:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
  Scottdale 9:15am-1:15pm $120.00/month
YMCA  9:15am-1:15pm $120.00/month
  2 Day Classes (3 & 4 year olds):
Tuesday & Thursday
  YMCA 9:15am-12:15pm $85.00/month
         12:30pm-3:30pm $85.00/month
Scottdale 9:15am-12:15pm $85.00/month
  Little Tots (2 year olds)
  This class is designed for 2 year olds. The activities focus on music, group participation, storytelling, nursery rhymes, simple crafts and free play. Children learn social skills, following directions and sharing as well as shapes, alphabet and counting skills.

Summer Camp - Open House April 2, 2020  6:30-8pm
YMCA Summer Day Camp is a great place for your child to spend their summer days. Our camp program challenges the ming & strngthens the body. We incorporated the Y's core values of honesty, caring, respect & responsibility-building confidence & developing character in every child. Your children will make lasting friendships & have tons of fun!

Weekly Field Trips - School Age Only

School Age Camp is open to children who have completed grades K-7 Camp runs Monday-Friday and you may drop off & pick up any time between 7am-5:30pm.  Prices include field trips & swimming.
Full-time (4 or 5 days) - $150/week
Part-time (1-3 days) - $120/week
Preschool Camps offer interaction with other children while experiencing arts, music, games, stories, & free play.
Little Tots (ages 2-3)  Tuesdays & Thursdays  10:00am-12:00pm  $65.00/month
Kinderkamp (ages 4-5)  Monday, Wednesday, Friday  9:30am-12:30pm  $110.00/month
Registration wil begin at our Open House and continue at the Y front desk as long as spaces are available.
You will be asked to fill out a schedule with the days & weeks your child will be attending.  A $10 non-refundable deposit is required for each week/month to reserve your child's place.

Before & After School Program
At the YMCA BASP, we believe that if children aren't at home, they should be going to a place where people are happy to see them & greet them with a smile.  Before & after school care should be fun & something that children look foward to.
As with all of our programs, we incorporate the Y's core values of honesty, caring, respect & responsibility into the BASP.

At the BASP we offer:
  • homework time
  • afternoon snack
  • free play time
  • sports & physical activities
  • arts & crafts
  • puzzles, games, & age-appropriate toys
Care is offerd to school-age students at Norvelt Elementary, Southmoreland Elementary & the Primary Center.

Hours: 6:30-8:30am & 3:30-6:00pm
Care is available Monday-Friday on all school days with extended hours available during snow delays and early dismissals.

$25 Registration Fee ($35 max per family)
$9.00/session on a flexible schedule
$8.00/session on a full-time schedule (every day)
